First Stage
The 20″ micron polypropylene sediment pre-filter to extract suspended materials such as sediment, rust, insects, and other particles down to 5 micron. This cartridge also extends life of other, more expensive cartridges and prevents damage
Second Stage
Multi-stage 20″ filter consists of one micron filter pad, 4lbs of KDF-55, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), and another 1-micron pad. KDF removes heavy metals from water and significantly extends the life of granular activated carbon by protecting the carbon bed from fouling by bacterial growth. This filter cartridge effectively removes heavy metals such as Lead, Mercury, Iron, and more, and controls microorganisms. The filter removes unpleasant odors, Chlorine, Hydrogen sulfide smell from water.
Third Stage
The 20″x 4.5″ solid carbon block cartridge to absorb heavy chlorine and its byproducts such as THM, and TCE. The carbon briquette filters out organic matter from water without release of carbon fines. This carbon block also removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents.
All of the Anchor water filters feature National Safety Foundation (NSF) certified filter media.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Do I need to replace all the filters . My biggest problem is rust. My model no. 6002. We don't use the cottage that much that we should have to change filters this often.
Hi Jack,
Once installed and water supply has been started, the system should be used at least every 10 days. After a filter is first used and left unused for a long time, bacteria tends to grow on the cartridges. Hence it is recommended to either keep using or change filters at the end of their service life. If you’re going to be away for longer than that, remove the cartridges from the housing, dry them thoroughly and store separately. Also dry the casing thoroughly.

Great Experience
Great experience. The filters came early as scheduled and are easy to change out.

Great
Great filtration lasts for about a year at my house pricey but they do work great

The product is great, the issue is the availability of getting the replacement cartridges and having to pay for the cost of shipping to my location, even when there is a statement that shipping is free.
